PROLOGUE

THE ENTIRE HISTORY OF MANKIND, TOLD IN TWENTY MINUTES TIME WITH FOOTNOTES AND REFERENCES

“Lookers-on see more than players,” they say. And now, when we are in space, looking at the place where the Earth once was, I understand more and more clearly that it’s true! It seems that the catastrophe was so easy to prevent. But it's too late! There is no Earth anymore! And we are in space — three cats in search of New Earth — flying through cold, indifferent darkness to an unknown direction on our Space Wanderers rocket.
If you really know nothing at all about the history of mankind, then of course, I can tell you all in twenty minutes with footnotes and references. But if you want to understand us, then I’ll better narrate it in a way my recollections will be coming to my mind. Perhaps these recordings will be chaotic and incoherent at the beginning — that's because I am not used to writing and not used to thinking with my own head.
